I always enjoy our November Club Night. I get to read out lots of questions and not answer any of them. This quiz followed our tried and tested formula of eight rounds of questions and a picture quiz to ponder over through the night. With a break for chips and a drink at half time. The winning team were the ‘Coffin Dodgers’.
We had several new members attend which is always good to see.
Next is our Christmas Dinner in the restaurant of The George Hotel, our usual winter meeting place. We forgot to remind those attending that a small novelty gift, each, should be brought and that the theme is ‘Festive Braces’. Timing 7.30 for 8.00pm.
I accompanied Peter Rowlands to the Classic Motor Show at the NEC. It is always good to meet members from other groups on the Stand. Mick Brodribb had done a super job as usual with his band of volunteers. It is not easy to turn out an interesting and diverse display year after year but Mick does it. Well done to Mick and all the others involved, including the owners of the cars and vans on display.
The revised route for the 2010 Sevens To The Sea run has been finalised and application forms are available from me at the usual address. Paddy always gives us a good run scenic round the Wolds.
